„Caius, it’s the middle of the day,” Edward pointed out. He gestured to Jacob. „These are not Children of the Moon, clearly. They bear no relation to your enemies on the other side of the world.”
„You breed mutants here,” Caius spit back at him.
Edward’s jaw clenched and unclenched, then he answered evenly, „They aren’t even werewolves. Aro can tell you all about it if you don’t believe me.”
Not werewolves? I shot a mystified look at Jacob. He lifted his huge shoulders and let them drop – a shrug. He didn’t know what Edward was talking about, either.
„Dear Caius, I would have warned you not to press this point if you had told me your thoughts,” Aro murmured. „Though the creatures think of themselves as werewolves, they are not. The more accurate name for them would be shape-shifters. The choice of a wolf form was purely chance. It could have been a bear or a hawk or a panther when the first change was made. These creatures truly have nothing to do with the Children of the Moon. They have merely inherited this skill from their fathers. It’s genetic – they do not continue their species by infecting others the way true werewolves do.”

Olgu, ent järjekordne näide Stephenie Meyeri võimetusest kirjanikuna... "spit" minevikuvorm on "spat". Ja oled sa shape-shifter või ei, kui hundiks muutuda saad siis oled libahunt.

Tõepoolest, "Breaking Dawn'i" pole suutnud kuidagi lõpuni lugeda, aga samas pole varem üheski teises Twilighti saaga raamatus ka mainitud, et Jacob oleks midagi muud, kui libahunt. Igatahes on mul väga raske Jacob'it shape-shifterina ette kujutada, sest sõnaga "shape-shifter" seondub mul kõigepealt "Supernatural" ja olevus, kes seal shape-shifteri nime kandis. Selle ja "Twilighti" ning Jacobi vahel lihtsalt pole minu jaoks mingit ühendust. Tegelikult on üldse üsna naljakas selle üle vaielda.
Neid filme tehakse ikka päris suure tambiga vist, kui "New moon" juba novembris, ainult aasta pärast "Twilight'i", välja tuleb ning "Eclipse" tahetakse järgmine suvi välja lasta.

Rääkides fännidest, ma käisin täna Brünot vaatamas, ning ma istusin täiesti juhuslikult ühe New Mooni postri lähedal (ma enne isegi ei teadnud, et need on juba eestis ka väljas).
Igastahes seal olid mingid noored inglased, tegelikult minuga umbes samas eas, 16-18 aastased, ning nad tegid kõik üksteisest kordamõõda pilti nii, et nad olid Edwardi kõrval.
Ma ei teadnudki, kas naerda või mitte. Igaks juhuks ei hakanud.

Tunnistan, et mulle kind of meeldis see film. Mai taju hetkel eriti biiti, miks kõik selle kallal ilguvad. Arvatavasti lihtsalt seepärast, et ilma loosse korralikult süvenemata minnakse selle vihkamise meinstriimiga kaasa ja kirjutatakse selle kohta internetis ainult sitta. Vaatasin seda filmi nii open-minded olekus, kui seda suutsin. Ootasin sellest filmist normaalset fantaasiarikast armastuslugu ja sain selle ning kõigele lisaks jäin veel rahule ka. Pealegi - come on, Kristen Stewart ju.
Ma jäin isegi lõputiitreid kuulama, sest taustalooks oli Radiohead - 15 step.
